Oct 13, 2009
NEW LONDON, N.C. —Fiberon®, LLC, a leading manufacturer of composite decking, railing and fencing and PVC outdoor flooring, has named John May, Jr. as its newest Decking Specialist. May’s territory will focus on deck builders and contractors in the New Jersey and Philadelphia markets.
“This role is directly focused on connecting with deck builders and remodeling contractors, and May’s experience and category knowledge make him a perfect fit,” notes Bill Ross, Vice President of Sales for Fiberon. “Alternative decking manufacturers can have attractive pictures and detailed information on their websites, but the face-to-face interaction inherent with this role allows trust to be built with this crucial homeowner influencer.”
May refined his knowledge in the decking category as a Deck Specialist at the North Brunswick, N.J. location for Parksite. Responsible for the pull-through sales of deck products and accessories, May worked directly with contractors, performed extensive product merchandising at the retail level and conducted continuing education classes. His deep knowledge of the category began with his experience at TLJ Sales, Inc. as a Merchandiser and in sales at Shore Fasteners & Supply, Inc. May is an active member of the North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA) and is a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa.
Fiberon decking solutions are sold to professional contractors and dealers through a national network of distributors. To learn more, visit www.fiberondecking.com or call 800-573-8841.
