Regional Deck Business Trends:

Since I started designing and building custom outdoor living spaces in the Denver metro area over 20 years ago, I have seen many different trends come and go.  The business as a whole seemed to be in “no man’s land” for most of 2008 and 2009, as homeowners were holding back on major expenditures and projects unless absolutely necessary. Prepping Your Deck For Winter

In North Carolina we typically enjoy the fall, with few nights dropping below the 40s. While it is bearable to be outside without bundling up, this will soon change, so it’s now a good time to winterize the deck.

With PVC and composite decking, it’s really quite simple. Make sure you keep it clear of leaves and debris. Also, check between the boards to remove any built-up dirt. (more…)
