    Fiberon was among the 1500 exhibitors at the 2017 International Builders’ Show (IBS) held in Orlando, Florida, January 10-12.     Houzz, the highly popular home improvement/inspiration site, just released its 2016 Landscaping and Garden Trends Survey, and the results were clear: it’s time to do something about the backyard. In fact, among homeowners surveyed who had recently completed or were working on outdoor projects, a full 88% classified the work as being either “substantial” or “complete overhauls.” When asked to select the event that triggered the outdoor upgrade, 36% chose the following: Elements of the outdoor space deteriorated or broke down.

  • Latest NAHB survey shows millennials value outdoor spaces

    Guess who lists decks as a top ten must-have when searching for a home? Millennials, according to the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) most recent housing study. What’s more, these young consumers (born 1980 or later) indicated a greater preference for outdoor amenities, specifically, front porch, patio, and deck, than did any other generation surveyed: Gen X’ers (born 1965 – 1979); Baby Boomers (born 1946 – 1964); or Seniors (born 1945 or earlier).
